Maryland Is Open For The Holidays This Season

Hotel packages, gift cards, and more being offered to entice local travel

BALTIMORE, MD (November 12, 2020) - The Maryland Department of Commerce Office of Tourism today launched a holiday campaign encouraging Marylanders to enjoy the holidays locally. The “Open for the Holidays” campaign inspires folks to shop, dine, stay, and entertain within the state during the holiday season to help support Maryland businesses.

“We want Marylanders to enjoy the holiday season with your loved ones, but we want you to do so as safely as possible,” said Governor Larry Hogan. “It is our hope that families across our state will use the holidays as an opportunity to show their support for local businesses, while continuing to remain cautious and vigilant.”

Many of Maryland’s hotels, restaurants, shops, and attractions have created special packages and discounts specifically for the holiday season.  To plan your holiday trip around Maryland, hotel packages and more can be found at visitmaryland.org.
