Designed in the 1860s to protect the river entrance to the surrounding seaports. The National Park Service has cleared paths around the ruins of what is considered the best preserved Civil War fort in the region.

AMAZING SITE!

This is an amazing park! The Potomac view is so nice, the Rodman Cannons are life-size and parking is easy. Short distance from National Harbor and Piscataway Park. Must-do in Maryland!

Walking/talking trail

Nice walking/talking trail. The view is lovely and it's not so crowded that you feel closed in but not so empty that you feel unsafe. The breeze is everything.
