In 2007, bluegrass pioneer Del McCoury invited some of his friends to do a little pickin’ and strummin’ in the heart of the Maryland mountains. Sixteen years later, DelFest has become a beacon for bluegrass, and the epicenter of American mountain music. Celebrating not just the sound, but the soul of the music, Delfest is a five day Appalachian experience.

Don’t believe us? Pack up your tent, grab your fiddle, a cooler of authentic Maryland craft beer, and a pack of your friends and family, and head for Cumberland. Setting up camp at DelFest feels like coming home after a year away from where you belong. From the KidZone dance classes, to the DelFest Academy (Sunday through Wednesday prior to the festival) where you can learn to play with the greats, to the main stage thunder, to late night jams by the fire, you won’t want to miss what is more than a concert. DelFest is a way of life.
