Very good, but.....

We often go here for wonderful seafood dinners. Nice selection of fish. Crabcakes and coleslaw are outstanding. We often enjoy their soups. On our latest visit, however, the crab bisque had so much thickener in it that you could stand a spoon up in it. Very disappointing. But we'll go back for fish and crabcakes.
West Ocean City Crab Cake

It's West Ocean City's Best Crab Cake. The Food was good, service was quick and very nice. It's great spot to take a large group of people, like family and friends when you are at the beach. The Crab cake was good and the crabs were heavy and large as well.
Awesome pricey crabcakes

I continue to be bugged by the crabcake temperature. They need to be hotter but the problem is they are so fantastic that you couldn't possibly complain. I paired my crabcakes with their yummy saladbar and greenbeans. Ours meal was $80 including tip and drinking water. The 2 crabcake meal has gone up approx $6 over the last 6 yrs. There is nothing reasonable about it but the crabcakes are fantastic.
Riding On Old Laurels

As a faithful customer for over 20 years, we looked forward to our annual trip to Captain's Galley II restaurant and the delightful, succulent, famous crab cake dinner. This year, the dinner arrived on a stark white LUNCHEON plate on which the single 6 oz crab cake sat in one corner, flanked by a small dish containing 12 french fries. When I asked about the small dinner plate, the manager said they were having difficulty obtaining dinner-size plates. (Really !!???) When I expressed displeasure about the 12 french fries in the small dish - the manager said that so much food is wasted that they did not give a larger portion although if you want more and you ask, they will bring some more. The 6 oz cake presented somewhat larger than a golf ball and much smaller than I remember in previous years. The plate contained no garnish; there was no "presentation" at all. The salad bar was rather spartan - just the very "basics" only - chunks of yellowish iceberg lettuce was the chief ingredient ... no green or black olives, no celery, no green or red peppers, no spinach. The blue cheese dressing was excellent however. Supposedly - they were voted "Finest Crab Cake in 2012" by Maryland Life Magazine. If you are seeking a great $20 crab ball appetizer, this is definitely the place to go. If you want a decent and satisfying dinner, try someplace else - maybe McDonald's !!! My wife refused her shrimp scampi dinner because it was not in accordance with the description in the menu. The excuse? They had difficulty obtaining angel hair pasta so they substituted linguine instead ! Can you imagine? "Difficulty" obtaining angel hair pasta? "Difficulty" obtaining dinner plates? These excuses are actually worse than Press Secretary Jay Carney's !!! My wife and I shared my dinner, paid the adjusted bill and we left to get something to eat !! I left my business card hoping that I would receive a contrite apology from the owner ... that was three days ago. Apparently, the owner could care less about our patronage. After 20 years - this was the last time we will be seen at Captain's Galley 2 restaurant in Ocean City, Maryland. firstname.lastname@example.org
Delicious Fresh Seafood

This was the best meal we had out in a long time. Fish was very fresh and well prepared. Wish we were there earlier in the day, because we couldn't fully appreciate the view of the marina after dark.
