Great way to start the day.

Ate breakfast here twice on a recent visit to Cambridge. Great selection of tasty pastries, donuts and assorted bakery items. Busy bakery with plenty of seating where the locals seem to meet in the morning. They seem to have a good take-out business with people picking up bakery items to take home or to share with co-workers in the office. Coffee is very good, prices are more than reasonable, the atmosphere is warm and friendly and the staff is efficient and professional. We will always stop here when we are in the area.
Delicious pastries and treats!

After hearing about this place for a couple months now, i decided to stop in and get a selection of treats for co workers one day. Their selection is great, and everything is super fresh! The best donuts i have ever had, and almost just as much as DD,if not cheaper. The quality is outstanding, and they stay fresh long after where as DDs get kinda dried out and crunchy. Definetly will be back again, and to get some danishs!
WONDERFUL LUNCH ITEMS, SPECTACULAR DONUTS AND MORE!!!

We attended a funeral in Cambridge and went searching for a terrific bakery we had heard about from our family on the Shore and friends in Southern Maryland finding it on the South bound lane on Rt 50 just south of Cambridge, Maryland. We arrived at three and asked about lunch. A customer said that they stopped serving lunch at two. The owner, David Levy was quite lovely about serving the four of us lunch. Everything was delicious and the donuts were the best, reminding us of the olden days in Salisbury at the Polar Bar about fifty years ago. It so happens that David was in my sixth grade social studies class and my husbands seventh grade science class at Leonardtown Middle School. With a little harassing on our side, graciously he recognized us. We are very proud of the fine restaurant and bakery that he and his wife have built up. We suggest if you are passing through in the breakfast to 2PM lunch window that you stop for some delicious food and the good old Eastern Shore Hospitality.
They had me at their bread

I have to say that all I've had is the Kalmata olive/sun dried tomato/asiago baguette - WOW! I haven't been in the actual bakery. My husband has and loves the donuts. I got my bread at the local Thursday farmers's market on Long Wharf - near the end of the day and the bread was still quite fresh. I couldn't decide between that and the amazing looking sourdough.
Okay, not bad

We had breakfast sandwiches, which were just not outstanding or any better than the ones you get at fast food restaurants. The service was fine for behind-the-counter bakery service. We then tried some baked goods. They were good. I would not rave about any of it and I would not go out of my way for the food. We did not try any donuts, so perhaps that is why many others love it there. It is very popular - a lot of people came in while we were there, so I do not wish to be negative. You might like it.
