Rockville MD, Best Western Caring Hotel Staff
Mar 04, 2014 by: Paul M from Grand Rapids, United States
The Rockville, MD Best Western is an amazing experience for appreciating a Hotel Staff that does things right and with the guest in mind from the moment one arrives! The Front Desk expressed genuine concern for my comfort and convenience and went beyond my expectation in insuring I had a great stay. The facility itself is modern, well designed, efficiently laid out and clean as a whistle. I enjoyed my 3 day stay and had an opportunity to watch a professional level hotel staff shine as they went about their business of "Happy Guests"
Rooms very nice

I booked a King room and an Executive suite (1 bdrm & a LR). This is an older property, but it has been updated. The rooms are nicely decorated. The beds and bed linens are super comfortable. The bath towels are wonderfully soft. The bathroom was a bit tight, but the decor was lovely. The products were quite nice and the hair dryer was powerful. I have been to older properties and some have not been kept up as nicely as this one. The living room of our Executive suite had low ceilings and no windows. I love lots of light and this LR room was not to my liking. BUT, it did have a pull out couch, so it was a better deal to get the Executive suite than 2 separate rooms. I had some problems w/ my reservations, the room lock went out and had to be reprogrammed and the reception on the TV was not good in the Executive Suite. The first 2 problems were fixed. We were given conflicting information about when and how late the shuttle ran. The breakfast was good - eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, yogurt, packages of oatmeal, a variety of cereal, fresh fruit and muffins, a waffle station and bread for toasting. There was coffee, tea, hot chocolate and juice for beverages. The breakfast was served in a restaurant space. I think that during the day the restaurant serves pizza & wings. This space is under utilized. It is a good size space w/ a bar and could be a really nice restaurant, but alas it is not. FYI, this is not a full service hotel (room service, doormen). For this level of hotel, it was quite nice and a very good value. Their direct web site (http://www.bestwesternrockville.com/) seems to have better prices than the general Best Western site.
Best hotel experience yet!

I loved everything about this hotel. Very friendly staff, beautiful lobby and hotel, easy to find (right off the freeway), and lovely rooms. I love that there is one entrance, it made me feel much safer knowing everyone had to enter through the lobby. The room was clean and bright. Very comfortable bed! Love that I didn't have to pay more for a fridge and microwave in the room. LOVE LOVE LOVE the free wifi! Makes it much easier for me, as a non-profit volunteer, to keep up with my work. LOVED the breakfast. Eggs were a little watery, BUT there were lots of options even sausage and bacon. I was very satisfied. The heater rattled a bit but not to the point of being a bother. Easy to keep the room at a comfortable temperature. The hotel has never been reported for bed bugs by the way! I was very excited to get a deal off Kayak for $88/night that I was able to secure right there in the hotel lobby, walk over to the desk, and check in! I'm so satisfied with this hotel I can't stop talking about it. :) 5 stars on all points!!! Oh, and I mentioned the hotel and my great experience onTwitter and they gave me a promo code! They definitely spoil you at this hotel!
My recent stay at the Best Western Plus, Rockville Hotel & Suites in Rockville, MD

This is the hotel of all hotels. This location is in my top 3 of the best hotels that I've ever visited. The pleasant stay that you will endure, starts at the front desk with the reservation specialists. They are very courteous, kind, pleasant, endearing, personable and most of all professional. The onsite restaurant is great and serve delicious meals. The bartender is one of the best I've ever encountered. His name is Josh and he possess the skills that one should possess. He also possess a great personality in dealing with people. The location is also convenient to I-270, easy on and off. The room that I had was immaculate. I purchased a suite that I fell in love with as soon as I entered. A good size room with the bedroom separate from everything else. The bed was so comfortable that I knew I was going to have a wonderful nights sleep. Clean bathroom, clean carpet is a must. I was very satisfied with the entire visit. If you're in the area this is the place to visit. The parking facility is also humongous. I drive a tractor trailer so I need a lot of space.
Sock it to you in the end!

My family came to this area for a medical study I am involved in. Very minimal amenities, but served our purpose as a place to clean up and sleep. Hotel room, staff, and service were fine. However we were accused of smoking in our room upon check out! My husband smokes, but I do not. Needless to say this was a very unpleasant experience on our part. I have 16 more nights to stay in the area over the next 6 months but this experience will prevent us returning to the Rockville Best Western.
