Black mold in the bathrooms not only one but the second bathroom another room I was moved into. Room service knocking on the door at 8:30am. I was still charged for two nights and cleaned the black mold myself and Im asthmatic.

We booked the hotel to stay close to the hospital in Western MD. The room was spotless. The bed beyond comfortable and the staff very accommodating. We had to stay an extra night due to my son's complications from surgery. They made sure we did not have to move to another room, although this one was booked. The staff went out of their way to help us during a stressful time. Great hotel, breakfast was very good and the it made a sad time a lot nicer for us.

We stayed on Oct 26-28 the 2014 because my fiance was playing at an event. We booked through hotwire. When we arrived, we were informed that our room was a smoking room. This wasn't an option due to my lung and throat issues. We were told that hotwire place a notice that we had a booked a smoking room. Looking at our reservation that wasn't an option through hotwire. Our options were king or double beds. We chose 1 king bed. We were told at Best Western that no more rooms were available and we could wait until 10pm to see if there were any cancellations. We immediately called hotwire. Hotwire called the hotel and we're told the same thing. No other rooms were available. Finally Best Western found a non smoking room but it was 2 dbl beds. I don't know who's at fault between hotwire and best Western but our stay ended okay.
Very dissatisfied - we relocated elsewhere

Our family has patronized Best Western hotels for over fifty years. This was not the experience we have become accustomed to when we stay at a Best Western. Specifically, 1. Hallway had a musty smell. I got the feeling that the staff was trying unsuccessfully to cover up the smell of cigarettes from an adjacent wing with huge applications of air freshener 2. Room was poorly lit, even --- or especially --- the vanity. 3. The bathroom (toilet plus bathtub --- vanity was separate) was so small you practically had to step outside of it in order to use it. 4. Bathroom doorknob was broken. 5. There was mold on the ceiling where the bathtub and wall meet. 6. There was a hole in the wall within the vanity covered with only wallpaper. 7. The refrigerator, microwave, and coffeemaker were all being powered through the use of a single extension cord, which looked like a fire hazard if it wasn't downright illegal. 8. And the room appears to have not been updated since the beginning ‘70’s. We had planned on staying several nights, but we voted with our pocketbook and relocated to another hotel after two nights.
Nice Hotel, good location

Our King room was very large and comfortable. Easy access to downtown as well as the highway. Even though it is close to the highway, we couldn't hear any highway noise. The only complaint is the room smelled "musty" and the bathroom, which had the toilet and bathtub, was small. I didn't say anything to the staff about the smell, as we weren't in the room much except to sleep, but spraying the room with Lysol helped greatly.
