Hotels in Frederick, MD Have Never Been More Charming and Hospitable?

That's what their website says. I called and asked for a room for the night of September 20th. I was told that only rooms with double beds were available. I was ready to book a room but asked for a corporate rate. I was told I had to book online to get that rate. I said thank you, hung up and went to book online only to find that the Best Western site said no rooms were available. I called back and was told by the same man that sure enough, he had just given away the last room. Would you be upset? Sure I was upset too, but rather than offer the smoking room he simply said that he would not allow me to book a room because I was upset. I asked for the manager. He said he was the manager. I asked fore the owner. He said that he was the owner. He then said, I am now going to disconnect you. I called back and asked for the smoking room. He said it was his prerogative to not rent me a room and would not. In all the years I have traveled I have never encountered such a rude and inhospitable person. Apparently this Best Western has all the business they need and feel that they can treat guests this way. I'm sure they have a great location and may be a nice hotel in other ways. Just hope that you don't need customer service from the manager/owner of this hotel.
Great stay and value

Conveniently close to business center. Small bathroom with weird layout. Had to scoot around the sink to get to the toilet. Internet wifi was great. Breakfast was good enough. Had problems with room keys and the phone did not work. The manager gave us additional discount for our trouble.
Avoid this hotel

We had intended to stay at this hotel on a recent visit to Frederick Md but opted for other lodging due to the heavy toxic odors in the two rooms we visited. I don't know what they used to clean the rooms at this hotel but it was very offensive to our senses. Time to change cleaning chemicals!!!

Best Western Historic Frederick, Maryland is well situated with access to helpful amenities. Pleasant surroundings with historic charm and availability such as Harper's Ferry. Hotel was comfortable, however, bedding was damp possibly due to high humidity. Otherwise satisfactory.
