Meh - rooms are alright. Clean but worn out.

I haven't stayed at a Best Western in many years (we usually stay at a Marriott), but this was close to where I needed to be and the rooms were a lot less. The guy at the front desk when I checked in was very friendly and helpful. I got to my room and it was very clean, however it is a bit run down. There are worn spots on the carpet, a crack on the vanity repaired with some brown goop that was very nasty looking, and the corner of the bathroom floor near the tub was black. To shut the bathroom door you quite literally need to stand in the tub. There is only one plug near the bed and the lamp is plugged into one of those 2 outlets. Not the best set-up, but I could deal with it. Linens and towels were clean and the bed was pretty comfortable. The first night, I slept like a baby. Last night there was a young child using the upstairs hallway as a playground until 9:45 or so. Lots of running, crying, screaming - all the normal kid stuff, but a hotel with dozens, or more, other guests trying to sleep is not the place to let your kid get their energy out. The parents finally brought there kid into the room, but propped the door open with the security latch - I know because about 10:30 I opened my door and looked out into the hall because the screaming and crying was still going on. I finally fell asleep close to midnight and around 1:30 a large group of loud, apparently inebriated, guys came in. They filtered in for the next half hour or more yelling back and forth to each other down the hallways. The property itself is ok - not great, but I don't expect great for this price. It was clean and comfortable and that is what I wanted. The obnoxious guests are the reason for the poor rating. I would recommend maybe staying on the first floor closer to the front desk if you want quiet. You also might get a stronger wi-fi connection in that area. Wifi on the second floor about halfway down the hall doesn't have a good connection.

The hotel is way past it's due date. Check in was efficient and the young guy behind the desk was very friendly. However, the hotel overall was very disappointing. Hallways and rooms were not well kept and the carpets had seen better days. If I stayed there again it would be a last resort.
Pay for what you get

Definitely a cheaper place to stay, but definitely get what you pay for. The hotel was definitely outdated. The room we had was rather poorly lit and there was damage to the carpet. The linens were very thin, bed and bathroom. The customer service was ok, probably the only redeeming quality along with a semi ok breakfast. We had asked for a roll away bed, which they don't charge extra for, but didn't have any available even though the hotel was below capacity.
Clean and Good Value

My wife and I stayed for one night as we traveled to a funeral. This Best Western was comfortable, well located near major roads and clean. Breakfast was adequate, but nothing special. The bathroom was a bit small but was clean. The bed was very comfortable. Front desk staff was friendly and competent. Price was reasonable.

Stayed here for one night with a group of 5 girls for a night in Downtown Frederick. Despite the website not having pictures of our suite, I was still able to call the hotel and get a brief description which was completely accurate when we finally saw it (2 bedroom suite). For the price and location, you really can't beat the deal. We took an Uber into downtown and it cost a whopping $8.
