I had to visit a loved one in the army hospital down the street from this hotel. This hotel was very close to the hospital, had parking for $15 a night, and was very clean. The room I had was small with a king size bed. It had a small refridgerator, microwave, and coffee maker. The bathroom was very clean, probably could have been updated but I can not complain about the cleanliness. The bed was super comfortable! The staff I encountered were nice and helpful. Check in and check out was very quick. I would highly recommend this hotel. If you are traveling with more than 2 people you may want to get a room with double beds because a standard sized king is too small to put a cot in.
Another good stay at old fashioned small hotel in Bethesda

We always enjoy coming to this 3 story hotel in a great location, only 2 blocks north of the Bethesda Metro stop. Using a Groupon coupon, the rate was less than $100 a night--parking was not included, so we paid $15 per day. We left the car in the lot because the Metro is so convenient, as is the free Bethesda Circulator, a bus that loops around Bethesda. There is a Circulator stop as you exit the hotel in the rear, across the street (make sure to get a map of the Circulator stops), We got a room on the second floor near the front--we would have prefered a room overlooking the courtyard--there were none available, but that was not a problem. Room had a flat screen TV, excellent king size bed, safe, fridge, Kureck coffee maker and good free wifi. Courtyard is pleasant, as the small lobby, which has a computer and books to borrow. Continental breakfast is adequate, with hard boiled eggs, bagels, muffins, cereal, juice, coffee and tea. The breakfast room is small and a little too tight to sit unless it is almost empty so we either eat in the courtyard or carry it back to the rooom. The hotel has an elevator and fitness room. The staff members are always pleasant and helpful and we were able to check in very early--a real plus. There are many dining options within a few blocks from the hotel--pizza, Middle Eastern, French country cafe, etc.
friendly, helpful, super-clean

My view of the hotel was really shaped by seeing someone fall over outside - the rain was pelting down and there is a steel set in the sidewalk outside the hotel - and witnessing the gentleman on duty behind the desk rush out with an umbrella, usher the stranger inside, and call the hotel car's driver so that the person who fell could have a ride to wherever he was going. So I would definitely say that the hotel staff is kind, friendly, attentive, and quick-witted! In addition, the rooms were very clean, the décor was warm, and the complimentary breakfast featured healthy choices. And the courtyard is very nice, with wooden benches and thriving flowerbeds.

The Staff is exceptionally kind, courteous and customer oriented. I enjoy my stay everytime. My front desk clerk Viola is clearly created for the Challenge of pleasing the customer. She makes me feel comfortable and safe. She also goes that extra mile to make sure I have everything I need to complete my stay. Keep up the GOOD WORK......
