Trip Advisor nice to visit once
Nov 19, 2014 by: Heather G from Dover, Pennsylvania
It's nice to have the option of different types of entertainment. Not every seat is a good view I guess because its older. The tickets were a normal price. A few metered parking in walking distance which are free on Sundays. A lot across the street for ten dollars is not bad either for Baltimore.

Trip Advisor Aretha Franklin concert

Wonderful acoustics that complemented her amazing voice and the band. Staging was bold with brilliant colors . Just the right size venue for a concert. Great visibility, too . The hall is just lovely. A Classical design highlighted by wall sculptures mader a great back drop for Aretha' s Performance .

Trip Advisor Awful accoustics there
Oct 20, 2014 by: Frankenberi from Springfield, Virginia
Four comedians performed. I was there to see Eddie Graffin. It was awful because the acoustics there are not good at all. You could barely understand what they were saying so you missed many of the jokes. Unlike The Improv where the spound is crystal clear, the Lyric Opera House if is awful. I will never attend a venue there again. We had upper seats on the side. It seemed the people on the floor could hear him, they were laughing at every thing. Never again will I go here. Parking is across the street for $10.

I had never been to the Lyric until recently and was very pleased. The acoustics were great, seating comfortable and staff very helpful. My biggest concern was parking as that is never good in any large city, but there is a public garage easily within walking distance and basically serves the Lyric in the evening hours.

Trip Advisor bring cash

My daughter and I went here to see Kathleen Madigan on Oct 10, 2014. The opera house is quite lovely, however, the seats are a bit on the smallish size; I am a women's 18/20 and could fee the hardware of the seat on both sides as well as the patrons who sat on either side of me. If you want to purchase snacks, regular or adult beverages, bring cash because the ATM on site has high usage fees in addition to the ones your financial institution may charge. Drinks run $7 and up. There is an elevator for handicap access, however the bathrooms are not easy to find. The staff are very professional and will assist you to your seat if you are having difficulty. Parking is right across the street. For this event, I paid $12. allows you to pre-purchase parking to guarantee a spot for you.
