Management does not care about their customers' safety
Jul 27, 2014 by: Dawkinsa from
I came to the Outdoor Adventure Park in May with a group of kids and we had a fun time on the Spider Monkey Challenge course, the Chipmunk course, and the Mountain Coaster. We were with a group and it took the organizer almost 2 hours to get us checked in. It was quite difficult to entertain the group for that long while we waited on our tickets. We also participated in Laser Tag. The laser tag course here is very dangerous. There are unmarked concrete walls inside and like most laser tag, it is dark in there. They put you in a dark room with concrete walls and expect you to run around and not get hurt. I was injured pretty badly playing laser tag and the attendant there said that someone gets hurt just about every time. I brought it to the attention of Risk Management that these concrete corners need to be padded or painted with glow paint, but they have opted to not make their course more safe for their patrons. My injury is costing me quite a bit in medical bills and the staff at Wisp do not care. I have to assume that they also do not put safety #1 for their other attractions since they have no issue in keeping a dangerous laser tag course operating as is. For this reason, I want everyone to know how dangerous this place is with no little interest in safety.

We did not stay at the resort but did stop by to do the activities. Our boys did the Mountain Coaster twice and could not stop taking about it. They also did a ropes course and zip line that they loved. The prices were reasonable and it was not crowded. Next time, we hope to stay at the hotel.
Activities for kids and adults

In the summer, there is a ropes/zipline course in varying difficulties, and other activities. These are however, very pricey and you'll run out of money quickly. The mountain coaster is a unique ride and takes you down the mountain through a wooded area. You can rent bikes, play disc golf, golf, hike, Segway or ride the chair lift to the top.
Thrilling family zip lining & extremely patient guides

First time family zip lining...stretches of 400+ line! My 10yr olds needed extra persuading once we were up & both guides were extremely patient! Everyone is ready to go again!
