From spring blossoms to summer breezes, and fiery autumn colors to cool winter adventures, Maryland enjoys four distinct seasons of fun. We have a generally moderate climate, with our warmest month, July, averaging temperatures in the mid to upper 80s Fahrenheit, and our coldest month, January, averaging in the low to mid 20s. Temperatures are usually warmer in Southern Maryland and along the Eastern Shore, and a few degrees cooler in the mountainous western region. Average annual snowfall ranges from 10 inches on the lower Eastern Shore to more than 100 inches in Western Maryland.
