Osprey Kayak Paddle

Join Sultana Projects’ staff naturalists for an incredible kayak paddle on the National Park Service’s new Captain John Smith Chesapeake National Historic Trail. We’ve scheduled four paddles this year, each to coincide with a unique seasonal natural event on the Chesapeake. Kayaks for these trips are provided so all you need to bring is lunch and your binoculars!

Cambridge Classic Powerboat Regatta
July 28-29, 2012
This is the oldest active race in the country. Check out the thrills 'n spills on the Choptank River at the American Powerboat Association-sanctioned world class of inboard hydroplane and flat-bottom boats race on July 28-29. The action will happen at Great Marsh Park in Cambridge, near Somerset Avenue and Hambrooks Boulevard. Free admission to watch the races! The Cambridge Classic has been an integral part of city and county heritage for many years. Sponsored by the Cambridge Power Boat Regatta Association. It'll be a weekend full of excitement.

White Marlin Open
Aug. 6-10
The world's largest billfish tournament, the 39th annual White Marlin Open is fun and exciting for spectators as well as anglers. All fish must be weighed on the official scale at Harbour Island (14th Street and the Bay,) the weigh-ins are held  each day of the tournament from 4:00 to 9:00 PM and are open to the public free of charge. As the week progresses, the suspense builds, as over 300 boats vie for over big prize money.
