is a three-year state-wide commemoration that kicked-off with an international maritime festival in June 2012.

Star-Spangled Sailabration, June 13-19, 2012, was the national launch of the War of 1812 bicentennial featuring an international maritime and air festival in the Baltimore region and the Chesapeake Bay. This week-long event included dozens of OpSail tall ships and naval war ships, the premiere of a new symphonic work, and the Star-Spangled Air Show featuring the U.S. Navy Blue Angels.

The Star-Spangled 200 Celebration will continue throughout 2014. Baltimore and Maryland will host a series of programs and events along the Star-Spangled Banner National Historic Trail to commemorate the bicentennial.
The festivities will reach a crescendo in September 2014, when Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine takes center stage in a Star-Spangled tribute to the defense of a nation and the birth of the National Anthem.
