Maryland Day Celebrations 

 

In March 1634, two English ships -- the Ark and the Dove -- sailed up the Chesapeake Bay, and landed at St. Clement's Island. The adventurers aboard established the colony of Maryland.

Come celebrate the arrival of the first colonist to America and the founding of Maryland.

St. Mary's County
A commemorative ceremony will be presented to honor the founding of Maryland at St. Clement's Island, March 25, 1634.  Honorary speakers will include the St. Mary's County Board of County Commissioners.
