Residents of Baltimore and surrounding areas are invited to take part in the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade, which celebrates the life of one of America's most influential civil rights, political, and social icons.

Now in its 10th year, the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parade, held on Monday, January 18, 2010 at noon, is becoming an event to honor not only Dr. King, but to pay homage to others continuing his legacy.

The event steps off at the intersection of Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and Eutaw Street, proceeds south on Martin Luther King Boulevard.

While in Baltimore, be sure to explore Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History and Culture and The National Great Blacks in Wax Museum
