The Maryland State Fair, named one of the top 50 fairs in North America, is one event you don't want to miss. This year's 11-day festival will feature swifty swine racing pigs, live thoroughbred horseracing,  bull riding and barrell racing, concerts, agricultural fair tours, games, rides and more.

The Maryland State Fair has been a late summer tradition since 1878, and locals affectionaly refer to it as "The 11 Best Days of Summer."
