The Carroll Arts Center continues their annual tradition by transforming their Tevis Gallery into the “Gallery of Gifts” during the holiday shopping season. This special cash and carry exhibit will resemble a boutique rather than a traditional gallery exhibit, as 27+ artists will display their festive wares. There will be a wide variety of hand-crafted creations from inexpensive stocking stuffers, holiday décor and traditional arts and crafts to truly elegant special gifts. Local artists combine with regional artists for a distinct flavor of fashion, fantasy and whimsy. To lessen the holiday stress, there will be complimentary gift bagging for all purchases!

HeARTwares is a retail store and Art with a Heart’s newest service-learning initiative. It is an evolved version of Art with a Heart's Summer Job Program and Art to Market Program. Participating youth work at HeARTwares and gain real job experience in dealing with the public, handling money, and presenting a professional appearance and manner. A wide variety of hand-made and one-of-a-kind artwork, jewelry, house ware items, garden ornaments, and assorted gifts can be purchased at HeARTwares. The proceeds from the sale of the art are shared between Art with a Heart and the community partner.

Festival of Wreaths

The 12th Annual Festival of Wreaths opens on November 10. The public is invited to walk through the halls of Pleasant Day Medical Adult Day Care and browse the more than 100 donated designer wreaths. The wreaths are on silent auction so everyone is invited to bid on a wreath and vote for your favorite to win the "People's Choice". There are also more than 16 themed Christmas trees throughout the building on display The Holiday Benefit Gala on December 1 closes the Festival of Wreaths, with a live auction of unique gifts, final silent auction wreath bidding, wine and food tasting, featuring specialties from local restaurants and caterers, and live entertainment.

Check out the over 120 decorated and themed wreaths and trees, ranging from the fancy to the funky, that adorn the Cultural Arts Center during the Frederick Festival of Greens. Wreaths and trees are submitted by artists, businesses, schools, community groups, and other local residents and then all submissions are available for purchase during a silent auction that closes at 5 p.m. on Sunday, December 3rd. In addition to the wreaths and trees being on display, an array of holiday activities are planned during the event, truly making it a festival atmosphere. People can enjoy holiday entertainment, hands-on activities, and much more. Most of the activities are enjoyable for the entire family. The festival coincides with Frosty Friday, First Saturday, and other holiday activities in Frederick.
