One of the few states to staff Welcome Centers with fully Nationally Certified Travel Counselors by the Travel Industry Association of America, Maryland offers Welcome Centers that are open year-round, seven days a week. All Welcome Centers are handicapped accessible and are closed on Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day.

The Youghiogheny Overlook Welcome Center is located on I-68 Eastbound at mile marker #6. Situated on a beautiful overlook of the Youghiogheny River/Reservoir, this staffed Welcome Center features restrooms, a pet rest area, picnic tables, vending machines and handicapped accessible parking for cars, campers, RV’s, buses and trucks.
B. Sideling Hill Exhibit Center

Sideling Hill Visitor Center is situated on a prime location for mountain scenery and wildlife, especially in the spring when the wildflowers of the forest floor and the mountain laurel bloom. The Exhibit Center features a picnic area, exhibits designed for the visually and hearing impaired, a pedestrian bridge and a spectacular view overlooking three states.
